New Data Report Comparing Pre- and Post-GDL Teen Motor Vehicle Fatality Data

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment has analyzed and compared data on motor vehicle fatalities caused by teen drivers prior to and after the implementation of the 2005 Graduated Drivers Licensing (GDL) laws in Colorado.

Though motor vehicle fatalities have decreased overall, the proportion of fatalities occurring from 10-midnight and among 17-year-olds drivers with more than one passenger has significantly increased.
