Open Competitive Opportunity for 3 Marijuana Positions at CDPHE

The Prevention Services Division at the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment has the following job opportunities now available for all Colorado residents to apply. 

  • Marijuana Communication Specialist-1683-GP III: The purpose of this position is to work collaboratively with the Communications Unit, Marijuana Prevention Systems Coordinator, Marijuana Prevention Program Coordinator, and external marijuana subject matter experts to develop, implement and coordinate paid, earned and social media communications for the State's marijuana prevention and awareness efforts. 
  • Marijuana Prevention and Education Coordinator-1677-GP III: The purpose of this position is to develop and provide coordination for statewide prevention and education messaging, including accurate research on the prevention of youth marijuana use, the beneficial and harmful health impacts of marijuana use and prevention strategies for risky use of marijuana using emerging research and surveillance data.
  • Marijuana Prevention Systems Coordinator-1681-GP III: The purpose of this position is to make recommendations for state-level strategies across healthcare and substance use treatment systems to reduce harmful impacts of marijuana use using emerging research and surveillance data. Additionally, this position will promote safe, legal and responsible use of marijuana by adults by advising content for statewide education messaging, coordinate messages across state agencies, including accurate information on the retail marijuana laws, and promote strategies that prevent youth access to marijuana.
