New Report: Child Pedestrian Safety in the U.S. - Trends and Implications for Prevention

 



Safe Kids Worldwide undertook an analysis of pedestrian injury data for children ages 0 to 19 and conducted a survey of teens ages 13-17 around risk-taking behavior. Safe Kids examined both trends over the last 15 years of available data, as well as an in-depth look at fatal and nonfatal pedestrian injuries for 2017-2018. The findings have implications for timing of and messaging for educational activities by both parents and injury prevention professionals.
