Considerations for Temporary Alternatives for Behind-the-Wheel Instruction, End-of-Course Knowledge Testing and Driving Performance Assessment in Driver Education During an Emergency / Pandemic

Friday, October 16, 2020

10 am – 12 pm ET / 7 am – 9 am PT

Driver education and driver license testing have been affected by COVID-19 since March 2020 when many States were shut down to stop the spread of the virus. State agencies and providers are looking for considerations for temporary, emergency alternatives to deliver driver education and conduct driver testing during the pandemic or other national emergencies in the future. ANSTSE formed two task groups to develop considerations for temporary alternatives for behind-the-wheel instruction, end-of-course knowledge testing and driving performance assessment. During the webinar the task groups will present these considerations to obtain feedback and recommendations from stakeholders.
