Happy New Year Ashley! I'm sure you can agree, the year ahead is critical for public health. That's why, it is more important than ever to engage students early and expose them to the field of injury and violence prevention. Thanks to the generosity of our members during the year-end giving campaign, Safe States is excited to announce the availability of eight complimentary student memberships. Our overall student membership has grown ten-fold over the last couple years and we anticipate the interest this year to far exceed the availability. If you are able, consider donating $50 to Safe States and help us increase the available complimentary student memberships in 2021. Students looking to grow professionally with the nation's only association solely dedicated to strengthening the practice of injury and violence prevention are encouraged to apply. To qualify for the one-year student membership, applicants must: - Be enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student with a background in public health;
- Agree to participate on at least one Safe States committee or special interest group (SIG) for the duration of the year; and
- Enter into the random drawing by January 29, 2021.
