Professional Opportunity for Youth: West Denver’s Youth Empowerment Center Youth Advisory Board
Through a collaborative of city agencies, the Office of the Independent Monitor is seeking 11 youth leaders who currently reside in West Denver to serve on a Youth Advisory Board. They are specifically looking for youth leaders who have seen or been impacted by youth violence and desire to change the outcomes for their peers. The Youth Advisory Board will also help direct the development of all cultural and programmatic efforts of the Youth Empowerment Center. Youth leaders should expect to develop their leadership skills, grow their financial literacy skills, and enhance a project addressing the critical issue of youth violence in their neighborhoods. Youth will commit to working 4 hours per month either during the evenings or weekends, and will receive a monthly stipend of $60. Click here for the full description and application questions.
