Application Deadline Extended: Botvin LifeSkills Training for Youth

 Botvin LifeSkills Training for Youth

The Botvin LifeSkills Training High School program is an evidence-based, 10-session program for social-emotional learning and substance abuse and violence prevention. The program also has evidence showing it improves driving behavior and road safety among young people.

The University of Colorado Boulder is offering a grant to Colorado schools to implement this program to students in grade 9. Selected schools will implement the program in either Fall 2021 or Fall 2023.

The application deadline has been extended to March 10, 2021Click here for more information about this funding opportunity and to access the online application. You may contact Diane Ballard, the grant manager, with additional questions at diane.ballard@colorado.edu or (303) 735-4164.

With the surge in youth vaping rates, and COVID-19 slashing budgets and requiring creative coping strategies, this opportunity can provide much needed support during these stressful times. The grant will cover instructor training workshops, stipends or substitute-teacher reimbursement for trainings, teacher manuals, and consumable student guides. Optional online instructional resources are also available.
