Job Opportunity: Community and Behavioral Health – The Healthy Kids Colorado Survey Recruitment and Outreach Coordinator

Recruitment and Outreach Coordinator

The Department of Community and Behavioral Health – The Healthy Kids Colorado Survey has an opening for a full-time University Staff (unclassified) Recruitment and Outreach Coordinator position. This work and members of the CSPH Survey Team are integral to the success of Colorado's youth and school surveillance efforts.

Position Information

The Recruitment and Outreach Coordinator will work with all other members of the school and survey project team. The largest projects are the Healthy Kids Colorado Survey (HKCS) and Smart Source surveys. The HKCS is an anonymous and voluntary youth survey, serving as Colorado’s only representative data on youth health behaviors, social-emotional indicators, and protective factors and is only administered to middle and high school students. Smart Source is an inventory of school health best practices, completed by school staff for both elementary and secondary schools. The Recruitment and Outreach Coordinator will support these and other projects by recruiting schools to participate in both surveys; develop and maintain relationships with school and community partners; engage in persuasive communication with school and district personnel on the value of participation in the surveys; provide technical assistance to schools during survey administration and in interpreting survey data; coordinate with grantees of school-based wellness work; and disseminate survey reports to schools.
