The purpose of program grants is to increase the capacity for comprehensive impaired driving education related to alcohol as well as other drugs. Prevention programs at the local level utilizing evidence-based strategies to effect change should reduce the number of incidents involving impaired driving or choosing to ride with someone who is impaired. This initiative is specifically targeted to public health, social service, educational or law enforcement agencies or their designees who participate in a community-based prevention coalition.

The anticipated initial term of the resulting contract is July 1, 2014 through June 30, 2015. The resulting contract may be renewed for four additional one-year periods at the sole discretion of the state, contingent upon funds being appropriated, budgeted, and otherwise made available, and other contractual requirements, if applicable, being satisfied.
E-mail proposals must be received by 5:00 p.m. on or before April 21st, 2014. Late proposals will not be accepted. Applicant agencies mailing their applications shall ensure the application package is postmarked no later than 5:00 p.m. April 21st, 2014. The proposal package shall be delivered or mailed to:
