Join the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for a live virtual event on December 15 at 11 a.m. ET. The press conference will focus on coordinated federal and state high-visibility enforcement efforts to combat alcohol- and drug-impaired driving. NHTSA Deputy Administrator James Owens will be joined by U.S. Secretary of Transportation Elaine L. Chao and representatives from Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD), Governors Highway Safety Association (GHSA), International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) and other law enforcement from across the United States.

NHTSA’s Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over and If You Feel Different, You Drive Different - Drive High, Get a DUI campaigns will begin on December 16 and run through January 1, 2021, historically one of the deadliest times on U.S. roads. The national mobilization period will begin on December 18.
