multi-sectoral partnerships to advance injury and violence
prevention, and how you can apply for the next round of seed grants.

Don't miss this opportunity to strengthen your partnership work and apply for the next round of seed grant funding.

The Safe States Alliance released “Strengthening Partnerships Between Business and Public Health: A Roadmap to Advancing Community Injury and Violence Prevention” (Roadmap) in November of 2020, and shortly thereafter, awarded seed grant funding to three community partnerships to pilot the tool and showcase the translation of best practices into real-world settings. Each partnership chose one of the five sections of the Roadmap on which to focus and applied the recommendations to their work.

We are excited to showcase the outcomes from each of these partner efforts and launch our next round of seed grant funding in a three-part “lunch and learn“ series (see details below). During the live discussions we will feature key takeaways from each project and answer questions about the seed grant opportunity.

Request for Proposals

Partnerships in Action Seed Grants

Applications Due October 29, 2021

Safe States is excited to announce the availability of two seed grants of $20,000 each to utilize the recommendations included in the Roadmap to inform an effort advancing community-level IVP outcomes between November 2021 - September 2022. Successful applicants will fall into one of two categories:

  • An organization/business representing an existing partnership between public and private entities that can select one of the five sections ConnectPlanPerformEvaluate, and Share of the Roadmap to inform and implement a specific project or initiative;

- OR -

  • An organization/business interested in forging a new partnership between public and private entities that will explore the identification and establishment of cross-sectoral partnerships. These efforts will simultaneously advance the applicant’s initiative, as well as support a "prequel" to the Roadmap under development by Safe States. The “prequel” will be a supplemental resource to the Roadmap that provides guidance to entities surrounding the identification of partnership opportunities, recommendations for initial outreach, and navigating national vs. franchise structures (business) or state vs. local jurisdictions (public health).
